Back in 2024, when the AI boom really started, ChatGPT had recently come out and everyone was jumping onto AI. Businesses were trying it for different things, people were talking about how AI was going to change everything, and business owners, especially early adopters, were putting their money into these new tools. There was a lot of excitement around it, but when we looked closely, a lot of what businesses were using AI for was more of a gimmick than something that actually solved a real business problem. Many business owners were spending money on AI because they did not want to get left behind, but they were not getting the results they were expecting.
So we decided to wait and watch. Instead of rushing into every new AI tool, we wanted to see how capable the technology would actually become and whether it could really help businesses. Then, in early 2025, we started seeing a major shift. AI had become capable enough to do much more than just generate content or answer questions. It was starting to become capable of handling real work, solving real problems, saving businesses time and money, and helping with different parts of their operations. That was when we realized that AI was no longer just something exciting to experiment with. It could actually become a useful part of how a business works.
At VeriTract, that was the point where we really wanted to help businesses take advantage of it in the right way. But we did not want to simply go to businesses and tell them to use AI. We wanted to understand what they actually needed first. So we started by sitting down with businesses, including our own businesses, and looking at how everything worked behind the scenes. We tried to understand where money was leaking, where time was being wasted, where leads were getting lost, what work was being repeated again and again, and what parts of the business were creating unnecessary friction.
Once we understood those problems, we started thinking about what the ideal system would look like to solve them. Instead of adding random tools just because they were powered by AI, we looked at the actual problem first and then built a system around it. Sometimes that meant using AI. Sometimes it meant automation. Sometimes it meant improving a website or changing a process. And sometimes, the right answer was simply to have a human do the work. We have always believed that AI should only be used when it actually makes sense for the business.
This is how VeriTract started evolving. Initially, we were working on things like optimizing websites and improving the digital side of businesses. But as we worked more closely with businesses, we realized that a website was only one small part of the bigger picture. A business could have a great website, but still lose leads because nobody followed up with them. It could have customers coming in, but still waste hours every day answering the same questions manually. It could have a good product and a strong team, but still lose money because important processes depended entirely on people remembering to do them.
That made us look beyond just websites and individual tools. We started focusing on the entire business system. We began consulting with businesses, educating them about what AI could actually do, where it could help them, and where it might not be worth using. We wanted businesses to understand the technology instead of simply buying into the hype around it. From there, we started building systems that could help businesses bring in leads, qualify them, follow up with them, support customers, manage repetitive work, and keep things moving without someone having to manually handle every single step.
That is really what VeriTract is about today. We sit with businesses, understand how they work, find the places where they are losing time, money, or opportunities, and then build systems to fix those problems. We use AI when it makes sense, automation when it makes sense, and people when people are needed. The goal is not to use AI for the sake of using AI. The goal is to build businesses that can operate more smoothly, with less repetitive work and less manual effort, so people can spend more of their time on the things that actually matter.
That is where our idea of a Zero-Touch Enterprise comes from. We believe businesses should be able to run on intelligent systems that take care of the repetitive work, keep processes moving, and reduce the amount of unnecessary human effort involved in everyday operations. We are not here to replace people. We are here to remove the work that people should not have to keep doing in the first place.
And that is the journey that brought us to VeriTract.
